Women in Aquatics Network – Leadership Webinar #2

Don’t Believe Everything You Think!

Speaker: Myra Mager, Clinical Psychologist

Date: Thursday, 19 November 2026 Time: 17:00 CET Format: Online webinar

About the webinar

Why do our actions sometimes fail to reflect our values?

In sport, leaders increasingly recognise the importance of gender diversity and broader ESG principles. Yet, despite these commitments, a gap can remain between what we believe and how we act.

In this second Females in Aquatics Network leadership webinar, Myra Mager, a Dutch clinical psychologist who works with athletes and coaches at the Dutch Olympic Training Centre, will share insights from research into why gender diversity goals are not always achieved in practice.

The session will explore how unconscious patterns can influence behaviour and decision-making, and how we can help turn our values and intentions into meaningful action.

What you will gain

Participants will have the opportunity to:

· Understand why a gap can exist between personal values and everyday actions.

· Explore how unconscious patterns may influence decisions and behaviour around gender diversity.

· Learn practical ways to encourage positive behavioural change.

· Exchange experiences and perspectives through interactive discussion.

· Connect with peers and learn from others working to advance women’s leadership in aquatics.

Why attend?

Diversity does not happen by chance. Creating meaningful change requires us to look beyond our intentions and consider how our behaviour shapes the environments in which we work.

This webinar offers a space for reflection, practical learning and peer exchange, supporting women in aquatics as they work to turn the ambition of greater gender diversity into action.

Join us on Thursday, 19 November, at 17:00 CET.
